In honor of Reid's passion for education, fitness, and leadership the Reid R Sacco Memorial Foundation awards scholarships in his memory to high school seniors demonstrating academic excellence, the pursuit of good health and physical fitness, excellent peer leadership, and outstanding character.

The Foundation has been awarding this scholarship since 2006.
